Vanessa is also looking to establishing indigenous data sovereignty. Indigenous groups in Canada are one of the most researched subjects in Canada, if not around the world. However, they do not own any of their data. Vanessa is embarking on a project to change that. She and her team are learning about NFTS, Web 3, block chain, smart contracts to better protect their data.
