Eve Langford is an Aboriginal from the Northern Territory of Australia. Her business, Amber’s Food Wraps is dedicated to Eve’s deceased beautiful niece, Amber. Her products reflect her connection to land, heritage, and honouring her ancestors. She is passionate about passing on ways for a sustainable environment.
Amber’s Food Wraps are made from 100% cotton designed by the traditional owners of the Northern Territory, Australia. They are dipped and finished in organic beeswax, which is locally sourced; organic resin, and organic jojoba oil. Eve makes organic beeswax food wrap. She sources the fabric from the First Nations people of NT, who design and depict their dream time story. After obtaining permission, the artwork is printed on fabric. Eve, then cuts the fabric into pieces, then it is immersed in a beeswax solution. The wraps are made to keep food fresher, by covering it with our non-toxic wax wraps. They can be placed directly over fruits and vegetables, in the fridge for longer storing crispness and freshness. They are re-useable and could last up to 12 months, depending on use and care. They have anti-bacterial properties in them and are water resistant. They are great for covering leftovers, fruit, cheese, half tomatoes, onions or avocados to keep them fresh, an alternative to plastic.
