Engr. Rico Campilan Badilla is the visionary General Manager of KAMADA ARC Cooperative, a leading agrarian reform community cooperative based in Balingoan, Misamis Oriental. With his strong background in engineering and community development, Engr. Rico has spearheaded various initiatives that empower local farmers and promote sustainable agriculture. Under his leadership, the cooperative has expanded its focus on high-value crops—particularly abaca and coconut, with an emphasis on producing abaca fiber and coconut sugar.
KAMADA ARC Cooperative, composed of thousands of farmer-members, has transformed these native resources into thriving industries. Abaca fiber, known for its strength and eco-friendliness, is processed and marketed to meet growing global demand for sustainable materials. Meanwhile, the cooperative has begun developing coconut sugar production—an organic, low-glycemic sweetener increasingly sought after in health-conscious markets.
Through partnerships with government agencies and private institutions, Engr. Rico ensures that KAMADA ARC not only boosts income for its members but also promotes green technologies and inclusive rural development rooted in the rich potential of abaca and coconut.
