AMIELYN “ASLIYAH” M. LIMBONA, JURIS DOCTOR, AL-HAJ is the Chairperson of Arkat Lawanen Women Empowerment Producers Cooperative, an initiative inspired by the Darangen Epic, embodying the resilience and empowerment of Lawanen. She is a dedicated advocate for Women’s Economic Empowerment and has been recognized as a Go Negosyo Awardee for her impactful role in mentoring and uplifting Filipina entrepreneurs in the MSME sector.

She previously served as Commissioner on Culture at the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), where she championed cultural preservation and gender inclusivity. As a Maranao Muslim, she once served as a halal consultant for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), contributing to the early development of the country’s halal ecosystem.

Currently, she serves as a Board of Trustee for the Philippine Federation of Local Council of Women, a PNP Special Action Force Advisory Board Director, and a Director of Global UNAP. In partnership with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Arkat Lawanen has launched the Halal Health and Wellness Practitioners Program in support of the Department of Tourism’s Muslim-Friendly Tourism initiative. This includes the promotion of shariah-compliant personal care services such as traditional hilot massage therapy and acupuncture.

Through these initiatives, she continues to advocate for inclusivity in the services and food industry, ensuring that halal products and Muslim-friendly services become more accessible and sustainable.
