I was born in Chetumal Quintana Roo, I worked from the age of 18 to 25 in the family business of buying and selling wood in board, with advice from my father (Elmer Vázquez) and the help of my brothers I started a rural production society in the community of Felipe Carrillo Puerto with the idea of acquiring a piece of land, store roundwood from the ejidos and be able to select the best wood for ourselves. With the experience of Elmer Vázquez and his contacts we started the export of roundwood, years later CONAFOR opened a call to support SMEs and through a project we bought a sawmill so as not to export roundwood and export the boards a year later a client friend from the United States (William T H) made a loan to buy a wood drying stove and made a letter of commitment to acquire what has been produced. As William T H’s business is the manufacture of parts for guitars, little by little he trained us to do the process in our workshop.
